Our CSR initiatives are aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and focus on creating a lasting impact through education, enhancing green cover, promoting healthcare and developing skills.

KBL

Education

  • Supported 4 Zilla Parishad (ZP) schools and 4 ICDS centres in underserved areas of Sangli, Maharashtra and Dewas, Madhya Pradesh
  • Introduced e-learning systems, set up STEM & Robotics labs and distributed activity-based learning kits to enhance the learning experience and improved foundational skills such as reading, numeracy and problem-solving among students
  • Upgraded learning environments with educational wall art and well-stocked libraries
  • Major milestone: All 4 ZP schools and 4 ICDS centres supported achieved ISO 9001:2015 certification, reflecting high standards of quality and impact

Impact and outcomes: Enabled better learning conditions for 447 children in ZP schools and 206 children in ICDS centres.

Green Cover Enhancement

  • Undertook two forest restoration projects using the Miyawaki method to promote biodiversity and climate resilience.
    • Dehu Road Depot Project: Planted 25,000 native trees, including fruit-bearing, medicinal and endangered species in 2.5 acres of barren land.
    • Goa Project: Plantation of 800 trees and shrubs from 100 native species is underway at 5 Technical Training Centre in Bambolim, Goa.
  • Conducted a large-scale plantation drive near Tekri Temple, Dewas (Madhya Pradesh) with more than 3,000 trees planted in that area.

Healthcare Initiatives

  • Upgraded 4 Primary Health Centres (PHCs) in Kirloskarvadi region (Kundal, Devrashtre, Bhilawadi, Wadgaon) by providing medical equipment, beds and furniture, clean drinking water dispensers and solar panels for uninterrupted power.
  • Installed hand wash stations in all 4 supported ZP schools

Impact and Outcomes:

  • Covered 50 villages, serving a population of 2.3 Lakh people by providing comprehensive primary care closer to rural communities, reducing the need to travel to distant hospitals.
  • Benefited ~2,245 antenatal (ANC) and 1,081 postnatal (PNC) mothers.

Skill Development

  • Signed an MoU with the Water Management & Plumbing Skill Council (WMPSC) to host certified training programmes across India, empowering individuals with technical skills to create sustainable livelihood opportunities.
  • Conducted WMPSC-certified training programmes across eight states including Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Maharashtra, Assam, Bihar, Tamil Nadu and others.
  • Trained over 1,500 plumbers, enhancing employability and income-generating potential.
KPML

Education

  • Supported digitalisation efforts in schools andAnganwadis in Goa including Sarvangin Balvikas Yojana Anganwadi centres in Deulwada, Bharoniwada, Phanaswadi and Government Primary Schools in Maini Navelim and Bharoniwada.
  • Desktop computers and printers were donated to schools and panchayats in Malakapur, Umarkanchan, Koregaon and Belwade Haveli.
  • CCTV cameras were installed at New English School, Agashivnagar, Malkapur to enhance safety for students and staff.
  • Benches were provided to Saraswati Vidyamandir, Karad and plastic chairs to Adarsh Vidyamandir, Wing to improve classroom comfort.
  • MS-CIT training was organised for Sahyadri Shikshan Sanstha, Yashawantnagar to enhance digital literacy and employability.

Healthcare

  • Ambulance was donated to the Gram Panchayat Shiroli Pulachi, Kolhapur and MIDC Tasawade Association to improve emergency medical access.
  • Water coolers and purifiers were installed at Government ITI Karad, Annaji Govindrao Pawar Vidyalay Vahagaon, Sahyadri Shikshan Sanstha Yashwantnagar, Tasawade Police Station, Shikshan Mandal Karad and ZP Primary School Arewadi.
  • Donation to Grampanchayat Bahule, Maharani Tarabai Vidyalay Talbid and a Water ATM to Grampanchayat Gamewadi to ensure access to clean drinking water.
  • Ten Polycab fans were given to New English School, Agashivnagar, Malkapur to improve classroom conditions.
  • Financial support for the Marathon Police Run 2025, Tasawade Police Station.

Environment

Supported the adoption of renewable energy by donating solar systems (3kW and 2kW) to several Gram Panchayats and schools, including Gram Panchayat, Talbid; Gram Panchayat, Wing; Gram Panchayat, Tasawade; ZPS, Vanvasmachi; ZPS, Varade; and Shikshan Mandal Karad.

Wildlife Conservation

Supported Aaranyak, an Assam-based NGO committed to rhino protection, by donating two electric scooters and protective equipment to strengthen their efforts in safeguarding wildlife and preserving natural habitats.

This is aimed at enhancing the care provided to injured or distressed animals, aiding in their recovery and making them return to their natural habitats

Authorised Pump Original Equipment Manufacturer (APOEM):

In alignment with KBL’s strategic objectives and policies, KBL has established APOEMs equipped with advanced testing facilities across all zones. Each APOEM plant is supervised by a dedicated KBL quality expert, ensuring strict compliance with our rigorous quality standards and parameters. As part of our commitment to excellence, we require all dealers to procure and sell KBL-branded “APOEM” pumpsets, which include KBL-branded pumps and motors, thereby delivering world-class products to our customers.

Training and Development: KBL conduct technical and behavioural training programmes at plants, regional offices and partner locations to enhance skills and empower partners to perform at their best

KBL-KBC Quiz: A dedicated knowledge-building initiative, the KBL-KBC Quiz, allows our partners to participate via a dedicated app. Winners are honoured at the Annual Dealer Conference.

There was ‘Rewards & Recognition’ session to felicitate the top performers under various categories.
