Different Types of Pressure Boosting System
All pumps run on fixed speed irrespective of cooling load requirement.
Primary constant-Secondary Variable pumping system is most preferred choice of all designers because of its simplicity and control mechanism.
Primary variable system is preferred where cooling load reduction is possible up to 30%. In this case primary pumps are on variable speed so there is need of chillers which can tolerate rate of change of flow and temperature differential within specified limit.
