Kirloskar Brothers Limited Launches Smart Skid Mounted Fire Pump Set, Redefining Modern Fire Safety Infrastructure
Apr 30, 2026
Kirloskar Brothers Limited (KBL) launched its Smart Skid Mounted Fire Pump Set, marking a new step in intelligent fire protection. The system was inaugurated by Ms. Madhuri Misal, Minister of State for Urban Development, Maharashtra, reaffirming KBL’s commitment to advancing fire protection technology for India’s growing built infrastructure.
Engineered as a fully integrated, pre-packaged solution, the Smart Skid-Mounted/ Containerised Fire Pump Set combines FM/UL (Factory Mutual/Underwriters Laboratories)-certified motor and engine pump sets with IoT-enabled remote monitoring to deliver real-time performance visibility, predictive maintenance and enhanced operational readiness. The Fire Pump Set has a flow rate of 170 m³/hr (748 US GPM) at a head of 100 metres (142 PSI), offering robust, reliable fire protection that results from a single, factory-tested assembly. With built-in safety features and OEM-backed quality assurance, it eliminates the need for extensive civil foundations and skilled site labour, resulting in a significantly reduced installation time and cost.
This plug-and-play system is designed for faster deployment and space optimisation. At the heart of this system is its IoT-based remote monitoring solution, KirloSmartTM Fire, which enables tracking of pump performance in real time from any location. This reduces the risk of equipment failure, ensuring that fire protection assets remain operationally ready at all times.
The Smart Skid-Mounted Fire Pump Set is built for fire protection of a wide spectrum of built environments. It is ideally suited for schools and colleges, railway stations, mid-size hospitals, old residential housing, warehouses and congested marketplaces, as well as under-construction sites, mid-size restaurants and industrial facilities. Its practical retrofit-ready design makes it an excellent solution for upgrading or replacing ageing fire protection systems. The containerised format is particularly valuable for sites with space constraints or complex logistics, allowing the entire system to be delivered, positioned and commissioned with ease. Most importantly, KBL’s fire pump set adapts to the demands of the site, not the other way around.
As a leading firefighting pump manufacturer, KBL offers complete fire pump sets, drivers, controllers and accessories, delivering comprehensive, end-to-end solutions for critical fire protection needs across industrial, commercial, institutional and infrastructure sectors. The integration of digital intelligence with proven firefighting hardware represents KBL’s vision for the next generation of fire safety infrastructure.
