Kirloskar Brothers Limited (KBL), a leading Indian multinational engineering company and a pioneer in fluid management solutions, today inaugurated a new factory building at its Kaniyur Manufacturing Facility in Tamil Nadu. The inauguration coincides with KBL completing 100 years since the manufacturing and installation of India’s first centrifugal pump in January 1926.

The new facility is designed to enhance productivity, improve operational efficiency and support advanced manufacturing processes, enabling KBL to meet growing domestic and global demand while maintaining uncompromising quality standards.

Kaniyur is globally recognised for its pioneering 100% women-operated pump manufacturing workforce, reflecting KBL’s strong commitment to inclusion and talent development. The expansion further strengthens the company’s focus on people-centric growth and indigenous manufacturing, aligned with the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
