Kirloskar Brothers Limited increases the production capacity by constructing the new valve manufacturing facility at Kondhapuri, near Pune in Maharashtra. The new manufacturing facility i.e. Shop No 3 was inaugurated by Mr. Sanjay Kirloskar, Chairman & Managing Director, Kirloskar Brothers Limited.

The function was held on the auspicious day of Gudi Padwa, the 27th March 2009. Mr. J R Sapre - Director, Mr. S B Chandorkar, Mr. Alok Kirloskar were also present in the function along with many other senior members of KBL. The Architect, contractor and equipment suppliers, who played an important role in building up the facility, were felicitated by the KBL management.

The new shop was put up with an investment of nearly INR 10 Cr. The new shop has many imported machines installed along with the Hydro Testing facility for valves up to 4000 mm size. With this, the manufacturing capability of Butterfly Valve will go up to 4000 mm and that of Sluice valve up to 1500 mm.
