Kirloskar Brothers Limited (KBL) continues to drive progress in rural India by ensuring water accessibility for agricultural communities. As part of the Nizamsagar Project, KBL has
successfully installed four Vertical Turbine (VT) pumps for the Irrigation and CAD Department in Telangana. These pumps are a key component of the lift irrigation scheme designed to
provide much-needed water supply to Jakora and Chandur.

Despite being a rich agricultural region, several villages in Banswada, through which the Manjeera River flows, have long faced acute water shortages. To address this, the Telangana Irrigation Department initiated the construction of two lift irrigation schemes (LIS)—one covering 4,200 acres in Jakora and another 2,850 acres in Chandur. These schemes ensure that water is efficiently lifted from the Nizamsagar main canal to provide irrigation to thousands of farmers in these upland regions.
